VALET PERMITS

 

The Valet Permit program goal is to minumize the impact of public parking spaces by permitting private operators to offer valet parking and pand park the vehicles on private spaces. In so doing, public parking spaces remain available to the general public.

A Valet company may request either an annual permit, for uses of more than 2 days, or Special Event permit for uses of 2 days or less. Anyvalet operation that drives on public right of way, streets, parking spaces, etc., must receive an approved permit issued through the City's Parking Division. Valet permits are authorized under Chapter 33 of the City Code, section 33-120 through 33-125.

Annual Permits

Annual permits are required for any valet operating for 3 days or more. The permit period is from October 1st through September 30th of every year. Anyone operating without an authorized permit October 1 or later is subject to fines, suspension and possibly permit revocation.

Special Event Permit

Special event permits are required if operating on any part of the city right of way, street, sidewalk, spaces, etc, when operating for less than 48 hours.
